The Treadway
Companies have adapted the principles of the
external insulation and finishing system (EIFS)
and polyurethane technology to create a family
of products that can be applied to produce
virtually any shape of finished article.
The generic name given to the finished,
installed, shaped product is ‘TREADFORM’,
there are three distinct TREADFORM systems
– TREADFORM
EIFS, TREADFORM PG and TREADFORM ARCHITECTURAL
MOULDINGS.

Treadform
EIFS is a type of lightweight cladding known as
‘External Insulated Finishing System’, for
the external walls of buildings and for large
trim parts such as banding, cornices, window
hoods, keystones etc. It can be used on new
builds as well as in the refurbishment of
existing buildings to give them a new lease of
life.
When used as a cladding it provides an aesthetic
pleasing weather proof exterior surface and
insulation in an integrated composite system in
a wide variety of architectural designs produced
on our CNC machines, this system is known as
Treadform EIFS.
The system consists of adhesively and
mechanically- attached expanded polystyrene
insulation with a glass fibre reinforced mesh
embedded in a cementitious acrylic surface
coating with architectural finishing.
Treadform EIFS is usually installed on site, and
can also be prefabricated as panels or trim
items at the manufacturing plant. Treadform EIFS
can be attached to all wall surfaces such as
concrete, masonry, timber and pressed steel
framing.
This type of lightweight insulated cladding was
originally developed in Europe in the late 1940’s,
and is now a widely adopted cladding system
throughout the world, creating a whole new way
to insulate and embellish a building facade.
